Monthly online gatherings empowering you to bring your full self to the world.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson
After facilitating circles for more than a decade in diverse settings from prisons in NYC, to palapas in Nicaragua, and porches in the Santa Cruz Mountains, it’s clear to me that it takes a very human kind of bravery to be truly real with others, especially strangers. For us to remove the armor and be fully us…takes courage. We have become a world where not being fully seen for who we are and as we are, is normal.
These circles are for the rebels with a cause, the free thinkers, the ambitious seekers, the creative makers, the ground shakers …the ones who see things differently.
These circles are for the BRAVE ones who…
Lean in…even when it’s hard.
Begin…before we’re ready.
Let go…in honor of growing.
Admit…we don’t have all the answers.
Rise up…again and again, together.
What exactly are B.R.A.V.E circles?
monthly online gatherings empowering you to bring your full self to the world. Think of this as a small tribe of humans (no more than 8 participants per circle), meeting once a month to grow, contribute, and celebrate…together. It’s a circle of support for all things personal, spiritual, and professional. We will meet monthly to connect, hold space, and most importantly... be seen and show up fully with both the messy and the marvelous part of our life. It’s a space for us to show up with our insecurities, fears, and frustrations, just as much as our wins, new ideas, and breakthroughs.
In each circle we use what I refer to as the B.R.A.V.E container:
B - being
R - relating
A - activating
V - validating
E - engaging
we will begin through taking about 10 minutes to ground, slow down, and tune in via guided meditation & breath-work.
we will then take about 30 minutes to check-in. Check-in’s are truly powerful. It is here we take a couple minutes to simply check-in with what’s real for us in the moment. We remove the masks and armor that keep us from fully seeing and being seen. Sometimes these shares are uplifting and sometimes they’re tender and raw. There is no right or wrong here. In these check-ins we remember our humanity and I have yet to find an elixir more nourishing.
we will dive into another 30 minutes to create ritual that allows space for us to deepen awareness, reflection, and discovery on a particular topic or theme. Our rituals will be writing prompts and discussion. Writing is an incredibly powerful way to see and be seen.
“‘So why does our writing matter again?’ Because of the spirit, I say. Because of the heart. Writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation. They deepen and widen and expand our sense of life: they feed our soul. When writers make us shake our heads with the exactness of their prose and their truths, and even make us laugh about ourselves or life, our buoyancy is restored. We are given a shot at dancing with, or at least clapping along with, the absurdity of life, instead of being squashed by it over and over again. It’s like singing on a boat during a terrible storm at sea. You can’t stop the raging storm, but singing can change the hearts and spirits of the people who are together on that ship.” - Anne Lamott (Bird by Bird).
Each month we will have a theme based off one of the 9 core aspirations of life: Connection, Balance. Vitality, Presence, Inspiration, Comfort, Creativity, Purpose, Influence.
we will settle into the close of our circle by setting and sharing our intentions for the month ahead. It is here that we see and hold each other as powerful creators of change.
Engagement creates accountability. So here, we will come to a close by briefly discussing next steps for support and follow through.

Seems cool, but other than that, WHY CIRCLE?
For more than a decade, I’ve been a part of (and a facilitator for) community circles (both in person and virtually). And as you can imagine, I didn’t commit that amount of time to them because they suck.
Coming together to commune in circles isn't a new or radical concept. Communities of all kinds have been circling for generations as an integral part of life and well-being.
In today’s internet run world of social media, it’s easy to get caught up in the illusion of being connected, without any real, substantial support.
One of my favorite quotes is by the Dalia Lama, “with realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better world.”
When we circle with the intention of true connection, this profoundly deepens our reservoir of potential and confidence in ourself.
In addition, research shows that we feel more confident and are able to accomplish more in groups.
Circling helps us to...
1. Find solace in knowing that we are not alone in the way we think and feel; empowering us to stop comparing how *we feel* on the inside with how *others look* on the outside.
2. Foster deeper connection with ourself and others; enabling us to experience true belonging through engaging in collective moments of joy and pain.
3. Process emotions through catharsis and hearing other peoples stories; enabling us to make better, more powerful choices in our life.
4. Discover our own way through reflection, dialogue, and seeing in others our own possibility and potential.
5. Empower us to show up for ourself and others with more integrity.
6. Step into a new level of leadership, bravely inviting others to rise along side us.
7. We begin to get that change-making belongs to all of us and that together, we are stronger.
These circles are a S.A.C.R.E.D place for us to be...
Safe (a safe container for us to authentically have our experiences and discover our own way. In this space, we honor confidentiality and differences, even when they’re hard)
Accountable (accountability fosters empowerment. In this space, we show up for ourself and others with integrity & clear agreements)
Curious (curiosity opens the doors to tap into possibility and potential. In this space, we are eager to learn and grow, asking the deeper questions of ourself and others)
Receptive (receptivity allows you to see and hear without judgement so that you can relate to others and yourself with depth and compassion. In this space, we are willing to acknowledge and consider new suggestions, ideas, perspectives, and experiences with an open mind and heart)
Empathetic (opening ourselves to empathy softens the edges, enabling us to more clearly make powerful choices in our life - there are only two ways in which we make choices, from a stance of love or a stance of fear. In this space, we process feelings, thoughts, and stories with care, our own and others, and are willing to simply be with what comes up without harsh judgment or trying to fix, change, rationalize, agree, or disagree - we simply listen)
Daring (when we are daring, we inspire others to rise with us, and ultimately, together we are stronger. In this space, we are brave and willing to lean into discomfort; allowing for ourself and others to show up honest, vulnerable, and at times, down right ‘messy’)
