Dynamic: a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process.

Dynamic Release Method (aka DRM: flow) is a one-of-kind yoga practice, created by Amber Campion. A hatha-flow style practice, focusing on deep nervous system repair through the presence of sensation, the power of breath, and the potency of myo-fascial release - all set to a heart-opening, practical dharma talk and an exquisite playlist to move your soul. What sets a D.R.M class apart from other flow-style classes is the way students are guided to move - as if moving under thick saltwater (slow and intentional). Students are led to move as if doing Qigong; softening the joints, breathing slowly, waving through the spine, and encouraging movement to originate from the deep core (your center). Sequencing is soulful and thoughtful, creating an embodied experience that feels both silky and strong. You can expect a unique take on sun salutations, as well as functional alignment cues for standing & seated postures, back bending, and inversions —all guided by a steady breath and mindfulness. Towards the end of class, we go deeper into balancing the nervous system by doing myofascial release using tennis balls. The result is a heart-centering, body-opening, soul-expanding release. D.R.M will challenge you, illuminate you, and create an incredibly strong and resilient body and mind.

 

The effects of D.R.M seek to expand the mind, release dis-ease in the body, and ignite the soul. This balancing and grounding method revitalizes the nervous system by fusing both Yang (active) and Yin (passive) energies. The flow is designed to build both somatic intelligence and deep release in the physical, emotional, mental, and subtle bodies. Based on the principle of balancing polarities:

Sthira (Stability/Integrity/Refinement)

Sukha (Flow/Flexibility/Expression)

D.R.M intelligently guides students to safely develop physical strength, create space for deep release in the body and mind, as well as cultivate the flow of inner power (vital life force energy), also known as Prana or Qi.  


Open to all levels, though in some classes we do explore more challenging postures, such as inversions, arm balances, and binding. Please do not let this keep you from joining class, as you will be instructed on variations to suit your needs.

Amber Campion is an internationally recognized mindfulness-based embodiment educator, yoga teacher trainer, and author with over two decades of experience in leadership and mind-body education. Her pioneering work focuses on nervous system regulation, emotional intelligence, and embodied self-inquiry, earning her acclaim through sold-out workshops and retreats across four continents. Amber is the creator of Dynamic Release Method™, a unique practice designed to foster physical, emotional, and energetic freedom. She is the author of Tiny Rituals: 108 Poems to Remember Ourselves as Holy, Whole, and Wise, a widely celebrated guide to mindful reflection and self-compassion. Originally launching her career in New York City, Amber now resides in Reno, where she is preparing to launch a highly anticipated yoga studio and elixir lounge in Fall 2025 with her husband.

I admire the authenticity that Amber brings to her teaching. She really does embrace “the beauty and brutality of life”, asking her students to bravely confront whatever they’re facing so they can move forward again. Her no-nonsense attitude reassures students that they’re not alone in whatever challenges they’re facing. She sugarcoats nothing, but brings humor into her stories at exactly the right moments. While Amber demonstrates some of the poses as she speaks (often just using some arm motions to show how the spine should move) the vast majority of the time she is walking at a measured pace around the room. The degree of vigilance that Amber employs with regards to her students allows her to correct alignment immediately, and to get a strong sense of how the class is feeling both mentally and emotionally at any moment.

For anyone considering a session with Amber, do it! You will not regret it. I am often hesitant to do this kind of work as I am such an independent person.
