FLOURISH

an epic destination retreat for the precious unfolding of your wild soul.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anaïs Nin

This is the ultimate life enhancing, soul expanding week-long retreat for ambitious wisdom seekers. Flourish means “to blossom, to grow,” and we will inspire this opening through an honest exploration of the Self through heart work, shadow work, somatic work, and energy work. This will be a playful and deep journey into soulful self-mastery (mindfulness, vulnerability, and gratitude) and heart-centered leadership (connection, courage, and authenticity).

Flourish 2023: Guatemala!

*Formerly The Changemakers Adventure

PURE MAGIC! This was was hands down the best things I did for myself in 2017. Not only did I get to experience a completely magical part of the world with an incredible group of people, I also got to practice yoga and do some meaningful leadership and personal development work with one of my favorite mentors, Amber Campion. I’ve now been on three retreats with Amber and it’s clear that she puts her heart and soul into these trips and cares deeply about delivering a transformational experience to all who attend. I loved the intimate size of our group and connecting with other inspirational changemakers who are out there breaking molds and living a life they are passionate about. At the time of this retreat, I had recently started a new business, was in the midst of purchasing my first home, and was in a bit of a transitional time in my life. Amber helped me to get clear on a lot of my goals and helped me to transition into this new chapter of my life with a toolbox of knowledge that has proven to be very valuable. Amber and here team did an incredible job organizing this trip. As someone who organizes yoga retreats for a living, I know the amount of work that goes into providing a seamless travel experience, and they went above and beyond for all of us. Thank you for an incredible experience! I can’t wait to attend another retreat with you in the future!
— Kristin Khederian, Yoga Teacher and Founder of Sol Seed Retreats

Amber’s retreats are an exciting, organized, comfortable and safe way to travel. Meeting incredible people is definitely one of the highlights, I made friends for life! The atmosphere is one of acceptance and love. Amber’s teachings are extremely powerful to help us on our path of truth and happiness. She guided us through an unbelievable experience; I ended the journey a new person. I’m looking forward to next year’s destination!

Exploring Guatemala

Antigua

Our trip begins with an overnight stay in the beautiful city of Antigua, where the group will gather. You'll have time to explore the unique architecture, rooftop bars & restaurants, and boutiques of Antigua prior to meeting up for a welcome dinner that evening. We highly recommend coming in a night early, if you can, to enjoy even more time in this city!

Lake Aitilan

On day 2, we will make our way to Isla Verde, a lakefront hotel with a tranquil bohemian vibe, and stunning views of Lake Atitlan. Once there, you will have ample opportunity to experience the Mayan culture of Lake Atitlan, connect with nature, practice yoga in community, and create your own adventure.

Our days will include exquisite yoga + transformational workshops with Amber, locally sourced meals, two included excursions, and plenty of time for relaxation and reflection amongst the peaceful grounds of Isla Verde. Our retreat center features a lakefront sauna, hot tub, and restaurant / lounge area, all available for you to enjoy!

Outdoor lovers will have ample opportunity to partake in many activities throughout our week including: kayaking, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, horseback riding, zip lining, and paragliding, to name a few. Cultural activities include local cooking, weaving, and beading classes. Boat rides are readily available to visit neighboring Mayan villages where you can enjoy local foods, markets, and some of the best textile and arts shopping in Central America.

The Excursions

Nature + Culture

Excursion 1: the group will experience an accessible, yet epic guided hike to San Marcos. We will hike from Isla Verde along the perimeter of the lake to the neighboring village of Tzununa (about 5 miles), then pick up a boat and head to San Marcos to explore the nature reserve, enjoy a picnic lunch, and swim and cliff jump (for those who dare)!

Excursion 2: the group will visit a Women's Weaving Cooperative in San Juan la Laguna. Here’s you’ll learn all the details of how the textiles are made, from being dyed to woven, with time to shop in the village town of San Juan. It’s a beautiful cultural experience.

The classes + Workshops

Yoga + Transformational Workshops

Our workshops will be rich, meaningful, and deep. They will range from yoga (Dynamic Release Flows), bodywork, breathwork, and experiential practices to connect deeper with your truth and build radical connection (with self and others). And THIS image is our studio space for the week!

I would travel far and wide to take class with you again. I’ve never met a teacher who has come close to the magnificence, presence, skill, and art of your classes.
